A broken arm

So, as most people know, Hadley is wicked crazy.  That boy is not scared of much.  Well, we figured we would be dealing with broken bones at some point with him..but the way he did it, was kind of not what we expected.
It was the day after we cut his hair (hmmm, was all his stregnth in his hair....interesting)  We were at a ward party at the Newdale park. They had this ginormous ball there that all the kids were playing on/with.  He was of course, right there with them all.  From the stories we heard, he was rolling the ball with a bunch of kids, and ended up going under the ball, he said he put his hand up and we assume they got bent that way.  Then, we think he blacked out cause he doesn't remember much in the next few minutes after that.  So, he came to us and we looked it over.  Normally he will get hurt, stop crying and go back for more.  But, he just wouldn't calm down.  The weird thing is, when he was walking towards us crying my first thought was, "his arm is broken"  It didn't look broken, and wasn't swelling.  We had a couple people from the ward (one nurse, one thereapist) look at it.  They wern't sure either but said it was probably best to take him in.  So, off the the ER we went.  Sure enough, his arm was broken in 2 spots.  Poor Guy!  He  had a wrap on it for about a week and a cast for about 2, I think..maybe 3.  He did really well with it. He picked a black cast (only cause there wasn't camo) By the time we were done, I was happy for that black cast cause you couldn't see any of the dirt!!
At the ER

Waiting for the X-Rays to come back.  He slept the whole time!

We had a camping trip planned for after the ward party.  So, we after the ER we went on our way camping.  It was fun. Because he slept through the whol cast process and ER visit.  He didn't remember anything.  So, when he woke up in the morning he looked at his cast and looked at me and said, "Mom, what's on my arm?" So, that is when we told him what happened and got more of the story out of him.  He had to keep it elevated for 48 hours and especially while he slept, so he slept with us so I could keep an eye on it.
