Easter

So, some of the pictures on here are having problems, I don't know why...if you have a suggestion, let me know  I keep trying to edit and it doesn't work......grrrrrrr.....
We had a fun Easter weekend this year.  Definitly different.  Brandon, Kyla and Bianca left Friday night to go to Utah for a trip Brandon needed to make.  I had already told Hadley we were going to dye eggs before I knew the girls were going to be gone.  He insisted that we still dye eggs.  So, I got everything ready.  When we were finaly ready I found Gabe....

completly passed out on the couch.  So, I then tried to convince Hadley that we should wait till the next day when Daddy and the girls would be home.  He wouldn't have it..so he got to decorate his eggs all on his own..

See his eggs...do you think he likes blue and green? The pink one there was one of mine that he "borrowed" So, I guess he didn't dye them all by himself, I did mine too.....

So, on Saturday when the girls got home they dyed their eggs and Gabe stayed awake to do his too.

Ya, Gabe loves the color yellow.  He was showing me where his eggs were.

Kyla  had fun with hers too.

Kyla and Bianca got a "monster kit" So, they pulled out the glue guns and put hair etc. on theirs...what they don't have these days.....Now we have lots of colored eggs we need to eat....

So, when Lisa was growing up, her parents decided to have the Easter Bunny come on Saturday morning.  We have followed that tradition at our house.  It's really nice too. Not only do the kids feel really lucky cause they get their baskets the day before everyone else, but we use Saturday to focus on the easter bunny and egg hunting and use Sunday to remember the ressurection.  So, the Easter Bunny came on Saturday morning as always,  The only problem is Kyla and Bianca wern't here....so they got a picture text of their easter baskets.  I never downloaded that picture on my computer and they got to their baskets before I could get a picture...so i don't have anything of them.

hadley and his basket

Gabe and his basket.
All the kids got plenty of candy along with a small basketball hoop and other little toys.
So, of course, the Saturday before Easter it's always fun to get to the egg hunts...there was just one problem this year....

We had a really bad blizard going on!  Wind...snow...the works!  So, after a few phone calls, we found out they were doing an egg "hunt" afterall....

Off we went.....

..to the city building where the kids got to....

Get a handful of candy...  :)

we wern't sure whether to say "happy easter"
or "trick or treat"!
They probably got more candy this way then they would have at a real hunt...

Later that day, the weather cleared up so off we went to my niece's birthday party.  It was at the Rex Center at the indoor jump house place.  It was our first time going and the boys had a ball playing with their cousins and jumping.

hadley was being a terd with the pictures.

One of Gabe's favorite things was this gigantic basketball hoop.. He's actually standing in part of it here.

Hadley tries to make a shot!

It took Gabe awhile, but we got him warmed up to the slides and once he started it was hard to get him to stop.  While he was playing here I ran into someone I've blogged about and I wish I would have gotten a picture with her.  It was the nurse who delivered Cadence!  We chatted for a minute, she asked how she was doing etc.  It was fun to see her!

Hadley makes it down the slide too.

Alicia, Hadley and Ian had a ball in the jump houses too.  Gabe wasn't too sure about them.

And a picture of Cadence cause she is just too cute!

We spent Sunday afternoon at Brandon's grandparents house where we had lunch and listened to the afternoon session of General Conference.

Then we headed to his parents house for the annual easter egg hunt with his mom....

This is all the cousins and some aunts and an uncle.

They all got lots of candy

I love this picture
of Gabe and his cousin Chloe.

So, even though it was a different Easter, is was still fun!!!
Happy Easter to all!!!

April Fools!!!!!

April Fools everybody!!
Our morning started off with Bianca being a prankster.  She came into the bedroom and woke Mom up saying, "Mom, I just saw the bus go by!"  Mom sat straight up and looked at the clock thinking she had accidently turned it off (unfortunatly it's happened since having the baby)  Once I saw the clock she said.."April Fools!!!"
Mom had planned on waking the girls up with an April fools joke so she pulled it on Kyla instead.  I went into her bedroom flung open the door and said, "KYLA!  You need to get up RIGHT NOW, it's 5 minutes till the bus!!!"  She sat straight up and said, "SERIOUSLY!!!"  I said, "April Fools!!"  She was not too impressed.
While they were waiting for the bus, it was almost time and Kyla was by the window, she yelled, "BUS!"  Bianca came running and once she got to the door Kyla said, "April Fools!"
Bianca also got Daddy.  She went in and woke him up and said, "Dad, I took Eva out to go potty and she went running to Grandma Kents."  He sat up and she said, "April Fools"
The girls also did there fair share of joking at school, Bianca told her teacher her dog had got ran over and Kyla and some of her friends switched things around in the classroom while some students were out!

We've had a fun day of pranks!  Mom got all the kids at dinner time when I made pizza for dinner!

It looked really yummy!  Too bad it was made with sugar cookie dough, strawberry jam, fruit roll up pepperoni, black licorice olives and green pepper gum drops!  The kids thought it was pretty cute.

Hadley didn't think it was too funny that Mom poured juice in their cups earlier in the day and froze them with the straws in them!  Then right before dinner, I poured just a little bit of juice on the top to make it look real.  Hadley kept trying and trying and said, why can't I get any juice!"  He was quite frustrated.

The girls thought it was funny...

Gabe came up with other ways to drink it, he wasn't a bit worried...

I think it was a pretty fun night!!!!
(shhh, don't tell Grandma and Grandpa Moulton though, we took some "leftover pizza" to their house after dinner wrapped in tin foil...Grandpa said to just put it in the fridge...so we did!  Hmmm, I wonder when they will go to eat it!!!!!)
