Easter

So, some of the pictures on here are having problems, I don't know why...if you have a suggestion, let me know  I keep trying to edit and it doesn't work......grrrrrrr.....
We had a fun Easter weekend this year.  Definitly different.  Brandon, Kyla and Bianca left Friday night to go to Utah for a trip Brandon needed to make.  I had already told Hadley we were going to dye eggs before I knew the girls were going to be gone.  He insisted that we still dye eggs.  So, I got everything ready.  When we were finaly ready I found Gabe....

completly passed out on the couch.  So, I then tried to convince Hadley that we should wait till the next day when Daddy and the girls would be home.  He wouldn't have it..so he got to decorate his eggs all on his own..

See his eggs...do you think he likes blue and green? The pink one there was one of mine that he "borrowed" So, I guess he didn't dye them all by himself, I did mine too.....

So, on Saturday when the girls got home they dyed their eggs and Gabe stayed awake to do his too.

Ya, Gabe loves the color yellow.  He was showing me where his eggs were.

Kyla  had fun with hers too.

Kyla and Bianca got a "monster kit" So, they pulled out the glue guns and put hair etc. on theirs...what they don't have these days.....Now we have lots of colored eggs we need to eat....

So, when Lisa was growing up, her parents decided to have the Easter Bunny come on Saturday morning.  We have followed that tradition at our house.  It's really nice too. Not only do the kids feel really lucky cause they get their baskets the day before everyone else, but we use Saturday to focus on the easter bunny and egg hunting and use Sunday to remember the ressurection.  So, the Easter Bunny came on Saturday morning as always,  The only problem is Kyla and Bianca wern't here....so they got a picture text of their easter baskets.  I never downloaded that picture on my computer and they got to their baskets before I could get a picture...so i don't have anything of them.

hadley and his basket

Gabe and his basket.
All the kids got plenty of candy along with a small basketball hoop and other little toys.
So, of course, the Saturday before Easter it's always fun to get to the egg hunts...there was just one problem this year....

We had a really bad blizard going on!  Wind...snow...the works!  So, after a few phone calls, we found out they were doing an egg "hunt" afterall....

Off we went.....

..to the city building where the kids got to....

Get a handful of candy...  :)

we wern't sure whether to say "happy easter"
or "trick or treat"!
They probably got more candy this way then they would have at a real hunt...

Later that day, the weather cleared up so off we went to my niece's birthday party.  It was at the Rex Center at the indoor jump house place.  It was our first time going and the boys had a ball playing with their cousins and jumping.

hadley was being a terd with the pictures.

One of Gabe's favorite things was this gigantic basketball hoop.. He's actually standing in part of it here.

Hadley tries to make a shot!

It took Gabe awhile, but we got him warmed up to the slides and once he started it was hard to get him to stop.  While he was playing here I ran into someone I've blogged about and I wish I would have gotten a picture with her.  It was the nurse who delivered Cadence!  We chatted for a minute, she asked how she was doing etc.  It was fun to see her!

Hadley makes it down the slide too.

Alicia, Hadley and Ian had a ball in the jump houses too.  Gabe wasn't too sure about them.

And a picture of Cadence cause she is just too cute!

We spent Sunday afternoon at Brandon's grandparents house where we had lunch and listened to the afternoon session of General Conference.

Then we headed to his parents house for the annual easter egg hunt with his mom....

This is all the cousins and some aunts and an uncle.

They all got lots of candy

I love this picture
of Gabe and his cousin Chloe.

So, even though it was a different Easter, is was still fun!!!
Happy Easter to all!!!
