Sleeping

I swear, some of my kids fall asleep in the weirdest places.

We were visiting my sister and when I woke up in the morning this is how I found Bianca

Naked and playing the wii...woops I guess we forgot about naptime

Snuggled up to Eva

This isn't odd...just cute!  :)

Glenn Miller Night

Lisa, Brandon and Cadence
The other kids were with Brandon's sister. But,
I didn't dare leave the baby with her yet
She can be so fussy at times :(

She actually did rather good though.
I love that smile! (above)
She finally crashed.  Although we didn't get to dance.
I just had my surgery the day before on my legs. So,
I wasn't quite feeling up to it

Brandon parents were there too.

Smiles

I love those first smiles!
I think the pictures speak for themselves this time.
Left Leg before
So, it's been no secret that I have nasty looking vericose veins on my legs. They have progressivly gotten worse with each pregnancy.  So, since Cadence is our final baby, we decided to get them lasered off.  It's an interesting procedure that doesn't really hurt except for all the needles they poke into your legs.  The recovery is pretty painful as it looks and feels like your all bruised up.  So, here are some pics of all that!
Right leg

Before shots

Right Leg

This is what my left leg looked like right after to procedure.  All those red spots are from needles he poked into me.  In the knee you can see the small incision they made to shove the laser up my main vein.

This was my left leg 24 hours after.  It got WAYYYY worse though.

This is my left leg 2 weeks later (same leg as above)

This is my right leg  24 hours after.  It didn't bruise up near as bad, yet it wasn't as bad as the left leg before either

One sick baby

We took Cadence to the Dr. on March 4th because she was sick and just getting worse and worse.  I assumed they would send us home for something viral and tell us to let it run it's course.  Well, instead we headed to the hospital to get admitted.  She was dehydrated and her oxygen was low.
They had to put an IV in her hand.  The first arm, they colapsed the vein so they had to do the other arm.  She did farely well with the first arm, but wasn't tolerating it after that. It was so hard to watch

Then they came in and tried to draw blood from her arm. After 3 needle pokes, the nurse said, "I can't do this anymore, I feel too bad, we will take it from her heal"
They had the oxygen reader on her foot

This was the machine telling us her oxygen and pulse

It was so hard seeing her

Once they got the fluids in her, she started doing much better by the morning.

She stared smiling for the first time the day we went in, it was nice to see her still smiling.

(sorry, I don't know how to rotate it)

We had to take the oxygen off every one in a while to see how she was breathing without it.

She was such a champ.  We ended up going home with a portable oxygen tank.  She had to be on it for a week and a half before it finally was able to stay in the 90's consistantly.
This is her oxygen tank
It's as big as her!

Blessing

Cadence Annabeth was blessed on February 6th by her father V. Brandon Kent in the Newdale ward.
It was fun to see a lot of family there to support her/us.  We wern't sure what was going to happen with the blessing since she was in the hospital still the night before. Luckly, we got released around 7:00 Saturday night.  We were wondeirng if we were going to be blessing her at the hospital chapel!

Potty training

I swear, the worst part of parenting is potty  training.  I dread it!  So, of course, with Gabe I wasn't too thrilled.  Netiher was he, so it worked out well.  He had NO desire to sit on that potty. I had full intentions of waiting until this summer.  So, when 3 days before Cadence was born, I decided to give it a go, I figured I was INSANE!  But, you know what?  It worked!!  By the end of the 1st day, he was going pee all on his own, by the end of the 2nd day,he was pooping in the potty all on his own.  I don't know how I got so lucky. But, by the time I went to the hospital to have the baby, he was in underware with hardly any accdidents!!
WAY TO GO GABE!!!!

A new baby!

On January 28, 2010.  We welcomed our 3rd daughter.  We named her Cadence Annabeth.  We were so excited to have another girl and have been having a ball buying cute girl clothes and hair bows again!  She weighed 8 lbs 8 1/2 ounces and was 20 inches long.  The Dr. actually missed her birth!  The nurse and Brandon ended up delivering her.  It was a different delivery for me.  I went mostly natural.  I did have the nubain to take the edge off, but I definitly felt the contractions still.  I also was laying on my side when I was pushing and delivered.  I've always done laying on the back stirrups type delivery.  This was nice. I hadn't planned on doing it that way, but I was just so comfortable, I didn't want to move.
So, here's some pics of Cadence.  Of couse, I went overboard on pictures...I hate choosing!!
1 week before I had her

Brandons's sister, Angelina was there for the delivery so she was our photograher..

See how she's screaming, ya..she didn't stop for a long time!  She cried for about 2 hours straight.  It was horrible.  I called Brandon in tears and he came back.

We found out about 6 weeks later that while she was being born her shoulder got stuck (well, we knew that) and the chiropractor working on it, said it was sprained. So, most likely she was in a lot of pain after birth.
